Chakwal

There are Thousands of Villages in Punjab.
First of all we will discuss about Chakwal's Villages.


Introduction:
              Chakwal is a very beautiful City of Punjab,Pakistan.It is a very famous city because of its dishes and beautiful Villeges.Chakwal(چکوال) is the capital of Chakwal District. It is located 100 km south-east of the federal capital,Islamabad and is named after Chaudhary Chaku Khan, chief of the Mair Minhas tribe from Jammu, who founded it in 1525 CE during the era of the Mughal Emperor, Zaheer-u-deen Babar. It remained a small but central town of the Dhan Chaurasi Taluka for many centuries. In 1881, during the British era, it was declared the Tehsil Headquarters. It was finally upgraded to district status in 1985. The area of Chakwal City is about 10 square kilometres.

Chakwal is 100 kilo meter away from the Capital of Pakistan.

Chakwal is a beautiful City of Punjab.Chakwal has round about 284 Villages. The most famous village of Chakwal is Kalar Kahar. Which is now promoted as a Tehsil of Chakwal.

Kalar Kahar:
Kalar Kahar is a beautiful valley.25 kilo meter away from the Cahakwal city. It has more attraction for the visitors because of its beauty.Kallar Kahar is a union council and subdivision of Chakwal District in Punjab,Pakistan. It is a tourist destination located 25 kilometers southwest of Chakwal along the motorway. It is notable for its natural gardens, peacocks and a saltwater lake. It is 126 km away from Capital Islamabad..

What language speaks the people of Kalar Kahar?
The people of Kalar Kahar speaks Punjabi (their local language) which is different from the Real Punjabi Language.


  • Takht-e-Babri:


Takht-e-Babri, a flat stage built of stone by emperor Babar to address his army while coming down from Kabul in the quest of the crown of Dehli. During his stay at Kallar Kahar, Babar also planted a garden, which still exists, called the Bagh-e-Safa. In his memoirs, the Takht-e-Babri, Babar described Kallar Kahar as a "charming place with good air" and natural beauty.

2. Katas Raj


Introduction:


Katasraj Mandir (کٹاس راج مندر)) is a Hindu Mandir or temple complex situated in Katas village 5 kilo meter for away from  Choa Saiden Shah  in the Chakwal District of Punjab in Pakistan. Dedicated to Shiva, the temple has existed since the days of  Mahabaharta and the Pandava brothers spent a substantial part of their exile at the site. The Pakistan Govenment is considering nominating the temple complex for  World  Heritage Site status. In 2007, it also proposed to restore the temple complex. In 2012, the temple pond is drying up due to heavy use of ground water for industrial purposes.


It is famous for Katas Raj temple pond that these are the tears of Shiva which he shed in the separation of his beloved. He wept in the separation of his beloved to such extend that his tears made a pond.
